Life moves through different seasons.
Some seasons bring joy, while others bring sadness. Thankfully, every season eventually changes.
In October 2024, I entered a heavy season of grief following the death of my mother. Just 82 days earlier, she had been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. The months that followed were marked by caregiving, loss, and a level of exhaustion that sleep could not cure.
I realized I was not just tired physically, but deeply tired in my soul—the inner place where our thoughts, emotions, and sense of wholeness reside.
I was functioning, but not present. I kept moving simply because I did not realize I had permission to stop. That changed when God called me into a season of rest—a season of Selah—a season of quiet so I could hear, receive from Him, and allow my soul to be renewed.
